WHAT IS GLYCAL FORTE®

Glycal Forte^® is a nutricine which has four modes of action to improve the health of transition cows through improved nutrition:

It improves rumen function by optimising rumen pH, which leads to increased intakes and more efficient feed digestion.
It increases microbial biomass whether rumen pH is low or optimal.
It provides bio-available calcium at a time when many cows are deficient.
It supplies rumen-protected glycerol and so is used more effectively than unprotected, liquid glycerol.

This Dynamic Metabolic Management System improves herd health, welfare and productivity. We work closely with your farm vet to monitor herd health and energy status (using BHB blood tests).

HOW WE WORK WITH VETS?

The transition period (three weeks before and after calving) is recognised as the time of most metabolic stress for dairy cows. We will team up with your farm vets to help improve herd health through nutrition.

With a FREE blood test on up to 12 cows, subject to agreement with Bio-Energy Ingredients, we can determine your herd’s energy status and how Glycal Forte® can improve the herd’s health and profitability. We will continue to work closely with your vet to monitor improvements throughout the feeding process.
